Here’s an updated clip from Another Inappropriate Comment - not sure it’ll be known as that when the EP eventually makes it out.
Oh yeah if you know any vocalists or if you are one with a kind of bohemian oddball of a voice feel free to get in touch via this blog as we’re looking for a different vocalist for this track.

Old simplicity reviews
Posted by: admin in Ranger3 blog on March 1st, 2009
We are pleased to have received a very complimentary review this week by Tom Slater of Spiked-Online.
It reminds me to include links to some other reviews for Ranger3’s new album. Andy Malt of CMU music network described our album as “astonishing” and we did an interview for CMU last December .
For any Italian speakers out there we were pleased to get a review on Indie for Bunnies. Although my Italian is a bit ropey we did get 3.5 out of 5 so I guess that’s good.
Grizzly bears and hunting deer

Welcome to the Ranger3 blog site. Our music is an eclectic mix of folk, classical and electronica and I expect this blog will reflect our love for many musical genres as well as film and books.
On Pitchfork this week is an interview with Grizzly Bear’s Ed Droste who talks about their new album Veckatimest and a collaboration with the Brooklyn Philharmonic.
Grizzly Bear- Veckatimest
Agoraphobia from Deerhunter is keeping me going until the Grizzly Bear album arrives. I now regret not having an animal in our band name as it seems to be the in thing in the United States at the moment: Animal collective, Panda bear, Grizzly bear, The Dodos, Fleet Foxes. Anyway, the Deerhunter video is quite bizarre and seems to star some kind of Antonio Banderas lookalike. Deerhunter \"Agoraphobia\"
Ranger3 release Old Simplicity
Old Simplicity’ presents an eclectic and intricate blend of electronics and folk instruments. From the mesmerizing, and eerie piano and vocals of ‘Satellite’ to the interwoven vocal couterpoint and glitchy beats of ‘Pendulum’. This album doffs its hat to traditional folk elements then chops them up and sews them back together to produce a beautiful cinematic Frankenstein.
‘This album is an astonishing feat of musical ability and studio skill. Ranger3 manage to give folk an excitingly modern twist, without losing the warmth at its heart’ - Andy Malt, CMUMusicNetwork
‘Sense of Direction is a gem reminiscent of Schneider tm in slow mo’ - Cian Ó Cíobhán, RTE radio Ireland, It’s recently been released on the “An Taobh Tuathail vol 2″ compilation alongside artists such as Murcof, Mice parade and Colleen.
‘Technically complex and extremely musical’ - Mark Norton, PR
